EAST HULL: Hundreds of cannabis plants have been uncovered at house off Holderness Road.
Officers from Humberside Police's Riverside Neighbourhood Policing Team were alerted to the illegal stash by members of the public.
They executed a drugs warrant, forcing their way through the front door of the terrace where they discovered three bedrooms filled with more than 300 cannabis plants, worth 50,000.
The Riverside Neighbourhood Policing Team is asking the public for information about other cannabis factories in the area.
They revealed a neighbour close to the cannabis factory had seen suspicious behaviour and growing items being taken into the house, but had not reported this.
Anyone with information should call 0845 6060222.
EAST HULL: A primary school targeted by vandals has been given a makeover.
As previously reported in the Mail, staff at Bellfield Primary School in Saxby Road, east Hull, were dismayed to find nursery equipment had been smashed and rocks thrown at windows in a spate of vandalism earlier this month.
Now, learners from the Raywell Street Campus of Hull City Council's Hull Training have regenerated the playground by making a Wendy House, cold frame, planters, gardening tools, bird house and benches for pupils to enjoy.
The revitalised playground will be officially opened at a tea party on Tuesday afternoon.
BEVERLEY: A new business will be launched in the town today at 2pm.
Miss Poppy's Tea Party, which provides vintage-style tea parties for ten to 15 people, will offer free bubbly and cupcakes to visitors.
Each two-hour session includes unlimited soft drinks, full afternoon tea, cakes, sandwiches, party games and dressing up box.
It is located within Gartons Of Yorkshire in North Bar Within.
