Novak Djokovic has suffered only a second defeat this season after he was forced to retire from the Cincinnati final against Andy Murray when the Scot was leading 6-3, 3-0. The final clash in which Novak was battling for his sixth Masters title this season began after a slight rain delay and soon enough it became apparent Novak was being troubled by something more serious than a schedule disruption due to weather. Djokovic had complained of shoulder pain after his semi-final win over Tomas Berdych.
