Angels 7, Mariners 3
ANAHEIM, Calif. — Rookie Mark Trumbo had a two-run homer and an RBI double, Vernon Wells also homered and Los Angeles pulled within 21/2 games of the AL West-leading Rangers. Dan Haren worked in and out of trouble through six innings, helping the Angels move to a season-best 13 games over .500 (77-64). Trumbo's 26 homers are five shy of Tim Salmon's Angels rookie record set in 1993.
