WINTER PARK — Berkeley Prep wasted little time showing off its offensive fire power Friday night as quarterback Destin Nichols found Christian Hardegree deep down the middle of the field for a 76-yard touchdown on the third play of the game. The night didn't get much easier for host Trinity Prep, as the Bucs romped 45-14.

After a Trinity Prep three and out, Nichols completed another touchdown for 48 yards to senior Reggie Barnes, who slipped past the secondary and was wide open. Schyler Miles and the defense were impenetrable, not allowing the Saints a first down until two minutes left in the first half. Also in the first quarter, Nelson Agholor broke a couple of tackles while returning a punt 67 yards to put Berkeley up 21-0.

Nichols threw two more touchdowns in the quarter to Tyler Davis and Hardegree. Agholor finished off the first-half scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run. Austin Iglehart tacked on a 16-yard field goal late in the third quarter to end the scoring for Berkeley Prep.

Nichols completed 6-of-7 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns. Hardegree had two catches for 119 yards, both for touchdowns. And Agholor finished the night with eight carries for 56 yards and an interception.
