A man's jaw was broken when he was attacked in a nightclub.
The 34-year-old was assaulted in Vice Versa, in High Street, Loughborough, at 10.30pm on Friday, April 22.
Police released details of the attack yesterday and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
The victim has told officers he was talking to two men inside the club when one of them assaulted him. The men then left the club and walked towards Pinfold Gate.
Detective Constable Claire Reid, who is investigating the incident, said: "This was a serious assault and we need to catch the people responsible."
The suspect is white, in his late 20s, about 5ft 7in tall and of stocky build.
He has very short, had shaven hair and was wearing a distinctive black short-sleeved top with three white diamonds on the front, knee-length dark shorts and flip-flops.
