Man dies after Flamborough rescue

A man has died after he was found on the cliffs at Flamborough last night.

Police said it is not clear how the man came to be injured, although it is believed he may have fallen from the cliffs.

He was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police, ambulance and coastguard services were called to the scene, below North Marine Road, just before 7pm.
