SHE is a self-taught star of the future who learned to dance after watching videos on YouTube.
Emma Smith, of north Hull, has been selected above hundreds of other hopefuls to join a national street dance crew.
Emma, 16, is one of eight members of new group atti2ude, following her success in Schwarzkopf's Street Dance: The Search competition.
She is now rehearsing in London after winning a 10,000 contract and expert training from celebrity choreographer Sisco Gomez.
Emma, who lives in Silverdale Road, off Beverley Road, said: "It was really surreal when I found out I had got through.
"I never thought I would get to the end.
"We have already done some rehearsals. Everyone in the group is amazing and I'm just trying to keep up."
Emma, a former Newland School For Girls pupil, taught herself to dance by rehearsing in her room and watching videos on the internet.
It gave her the confidence to choreograph a dance troupe called Fusion outside of school hours and led her to complete a BTEC in dance at Wyke Sixth Form College.
She said: "I have always wanted to be a performer.
"I did gymnastics when I was younger and danced at a few charity events.
"Then I saw the competition on Facebook and decided to go for it."
Emma auditioned for the competition at the Manchester heat in March.
She was then invited to show off her skills in front of judges at a grand final in London's Koko Club on Sunday.
Proud parents Mark and Sarah Smith have been supporting her all the way.
Mr Smith, 39, a production supervisor at Reckitt's, said: "It is fantastic that she got through. It is a dream come true for her."
