Overturned lorry blocks A166 – road closed both ways (VIDEO)

A main road in East Yorkshire is closed after a lorry overturned this morning.

The A166 has been shut in both directions between the Burton Fields Road junction in Stamford Bridge and the Garrowby Road junction in Youlthorpe since 10am.

Diversions remain in place following the accident.

The male driver sustained chest and back injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Humberside Police said they cannot say when the road will reopen.
