That oughta cool 'em off

The $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium has everything, it appears, except enough hot water for the postgame shower. Several Cowboys players have warned the Packers about a lack of hot water in the home team's locker room. "Wow, that puts a damper on the day," Packers RT Bryan Bulaga said. "Cold water? I'm just saying, how much did that stadium cost: $1.2 billion? Get a hot water tank. It should be the size of a room."

Tweets of the day

Friday's latest snowstorm in Dallas generated a flurry (pardon the pun) of Twitter activity. Among the postings:

"I'm telling you: I-30 between Dallas + Fort Worth is a plow-less, snow-windswept moonscape. This is officially a debacle."

Peter King, Sports Illustrated

"One Fort Worth restaurant owner projected his establishment would generate $850,000 this week. Now he said he'd be happy with $85,000."

Adam Schefter, ESPN

"Hey people in Dallas: This snow apocalypse you're whining about en masse, we in New York call it 'Tuesday.' "

Stewart Mandel, SI.com

"I hope some writer writes a column praising Detroit this weekend. We were totally prepared for bad weather. Dallas, clearly, is not."

Jamie Sameulsen, Detroit radio host

eBay item of the day

Do you really love the Cowboys? If so, you might be interested in this mug commemorating their first Super Bowl win, over Miami in 1972. The mug is embossed with the front page of the New Orleans Times-Picayune from the following day. The price is $30,000, although half of the proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen For The Cure, which supports breast cancer research.

Packers trivia

Which Green Bay running backs became the first tandem from the same team to win back-to-back NFL MVP awards?

Paul Horning in 1961 and Jim Taylor in 1962.

Cowboys Stadium fun facts

The screens on the long sides of the stadium are 152 feet wide and 72 feet high, making them the world's largest high-definition television screens.

• The domed, retractable roof is the world's largest at 660,800 square feet. Despite its enormous size, it takes only 12 minutes to open or close. It will be closed for Sunday's game.

• There are more than 2,900 televisions installed throughout the building.
