A teenager has appeared in court in connection with a "smash-and-grab" raid at a Leicester jewellers.
Yasin Aqsun, from Pool Meadow Close, Hall Green, Birmingham, is charged with robbing Sunny Jewellers, in Belgrave Road.
The 18-year-old appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
It is alleged he was part of a gang who entered the store at about 5pm on Saturday, January 29, smashed glass cabinets and stole items worth about �25,000.
Although no formal plea was entered, Aqsun's solicitor said he denied the charge.
Aqsun was remanded into custody and will next appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Three other men from the West Midlands were arrested in connection with the robbery and released on bail.
