Schoolgirl singing sensation Rosanne Hamilton is preparing to give the performance of her life – at London's O2Arena.
The Hinckley girl, 12, has won a place in this year's Open Mic contest – the UK's biggest competition for unsigned singers.
Rosanne, who has just finished her first term at Mount Grace High School, in Hinckley, will be taking along an army of fans and supporters. Nearly 60 people are travelling to see her perform.
Rosanne wowed judges in her heat, in Leamington Spa, with a rendition of the Jennifer Hudson song And I'm Telling You.
She said: "Now I'm through to the final, I'm so scared. I didn't think I'd get as far as this.
"All my friends have been supporting me – they have been amazing.
"They made banners, they were screaming and they have come to every round.
"They are all my primary school friends, about 30 of them. I have known them since I was four."
The final will take place on January 15. There will be three finalists in each of the categories – under 18, 18 to 25 and over 25.
Public votes will help select a winner from each age group and the overall winner will be offered a recording contract worth 30,000, plus a trip to Dublin to make a music video with the show's collaborator, Muzu TV.
Proud father Iain said he and his wife, Catherine, were thrilled with Rosanne's success.
"She is an incredibly good singer," he said. "Quite phenomenal for her age.
"In our opinion, she has wiped the floor with everyone so far. People were coming on, aged 16 and 17, and you could hear their breathing, you could hear their nerves.
"Rosanne didn't appear to have those nerves.
"She had a standing ovation from the judges.
"Whatever happens, we don't care, because it has been fantastic."
Rosanne attends musical theatre classes given by Sarah Bright, of Hinckley Speech and Drama Studio.
Principal Priscilla Morris said: "She is spectacular. Just the experience of singing on the O2stage is going to be such a wonderful experience for her."
Rosanne will be hoping to emulate the success of another Hinckley girl, Kirsty Anderson, who won the contest last year and bagged a career-building recording contract.
Kirsty, an operatic soprano, now lives in London's West End and has performed at venues including the O2, Birmingham Symphony Hall and to a crowd of 24,000 at the Walkers Stadium.
