EAST YORKS: Wildlife fans are in for a treat at a nature reserve.

Visitors can experience the thrill of watching birds of prey at Blacktoft Sands, near Goole.

Bird charity the RSPB is organising special birds of prey walks at the wildlife haven.

People can observe marsh harrier, merlin and rare hen harrier hunting over the reed beds.

The events are being held on February, 4, 5 and 13. Tickets are �4 and can be pre-booked by calling the reserve on 01405 704665.

HULL: Volunteers are being sought to help out at a city charity shop.

Dove House Hospice is appealing for volunteers for its Chanterlands Avenue shop in west Hull.

BEVERLEY: An exhibition is to take place at Beverley Treasure House.

Designer Alison Milner will show her work alongside photographer Steve Speller.

Their exhibition runs from February 12 to April 9.

NORTH HULL: A five week course introducing people to using computers begins next month.

It is being run by adult education and starts on Monday, February 28 at 10 am.

Fees will be �17 for those who pay in full or �8.50 for a reduced fee.

Over 60s will get a �5 discount if they are paying the full fee.

Places need to be booked in advance.

It runs at Greenwood Avenue Library in Greenwood Avenue.

Each session will be one-and-a-half hours long.

HULL: Residents are being invited to attend an open day for the Open University.

It takes place at Central Library, in Albion Street, city centre.

It runs on Saturday, May 14 from 11am to 2.30pm.

Those attending can have an informal conversation as well as get answers to questions about courses, study methods and other aspects of learning with the Open University.

HULL: Unwanted computers are being sought to send to Africa.

Computers for Africa (C4A) are holding collections on Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 8am to 6pm at the Tradex Warehouse in Boothferry Road, west Hull.

C4A will data wipe and clean the PCs, then send it them to a community in Africa to help transform lives.

PCs need to be working and less than five-years-old.

HULL: A blood donor session is being held at the Royal Hotel in Ferensway on Tuesday next week.

It will take place in the Edwardian Room between 2.15pm to 4pm, and 5pm to 7.30pm.

BEVERLEY: East Riding Council are giving members of the public the chance to learn hedge laying in the Yorkshire style.

Two free events will be held at Beverley Parks Local Nature Reserve, one runs tomorrow and one will be on Saturday, February 12.
