Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber said Wednesday he intends to return for a 15th season with the Bucs.

However, Barber said he still needs to meet with general manager Mark Dominik and a contract agreement has to be reached.

On Tuesday, Bucs coach Raheem Morris said he was 'really confident' Barber would return next season.

"I'm not trying to create any drama about my situation,' Barber said in a text to the Times. "I just haven't spoken to Mark (Dominik) about next year yet. I'm certain I will soon, though. Rah's intentions are very clear though and I would be lying if I thought otherwise at this point. But nothing is done.''

Barber, 35, finished third in tackles with 81 and had three interceptions last season in helping the Bucs to a 10-6 record. Morris said Tuesday Barber would retain his same role as the Bucs' starting right cornerback.

"He's coming back. He's playing,'' Morris said Tuesday from the East-West Shrine game workouts in Orlando. "Now it's just a matter of what he's playing for. I'm really confident that he's playing and I feel great about it.

"It's just a matter of deciding how much he's worth and all that. But our starting right cornerback will be back.''
