PITTSBURGH — Jania Sims hit two free throws with 3:04 left in the game to put Pittsburgh ahead for good, and USF blew an 11-point second-half lead to lose its fourth straight, 70-66 on Saturday afternoon.
Andrell Smith had 16 points and Akila McDonald a career-high 15 for the Bulls (10-15, 1-10 Big East), who led 48-37 on a layup by Andrea Smith with 14:28 left.
The Panthers responded with a 17-4 run capped by Sims' three-point play with 8:31 left, giving them a 54-52 lead.
Andrell Smith's three-point play and a layup by Daleisha Carn with 6:56 left put USF back in front 57-54. But the Bulls didn't hit another field goal for more than four minutes.
Taneisha Harrison had 27 points to lead the Panthers (12-12, 4-7).
ECKERD 69, NOVA SE 67: Kati Rausberg hit a 3-pointer as time expired and scored 12 as the visiting Tritons (14-9, 7-6 Sunshine State) rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit.
ROLLINS 73, SAINT LEO 50: Amber Heistan had 21 points as the host Tars handed the Lions (9-15, 1-12 SSC) their sixth straight loss.
