Pats cool in closer
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Tom Brady can finally set his sights on the playoffs. The record-shattering star of the Patriots extended his streak to 11 games without an interception in the team's eighth straight win.
"Interceptions pretty much ruin my night," Brady said. "I'm glad tonight's not ruined."
Brady played into the third quarter though the game meant nothing to the Patriots. He extended league records for consecutive attempts without a pick (335) and consecutive regular-season home wins by a QB (28), thriving without his top three receivers — Wes Welker, Deion Branch and Aaron Hernandez.
